What made you attend work experience at ITRM?
The reason for me wanting to attend is because I had an interest with IT in general so I asked my careers advisor and she told me about ITRM which made me want to reach out for work experience.
What have you learnt throughout your time here?
I learned about what ITRM’s service and support department does and how they do it, for example I learnt about the ticket system they use, why it’s put in place and how it works. I also learnt about the types of tickets (service request, alert/incident) and the triage system.
What has been your favourite part of the work experience?
I enjoyed learning about the different elements within support and learning about the ways to solve IT problems. I also enjoyed interacting with the employees, they are such nice people, very friendly and really engaging.
What have you found the most challenging from the work experience?
The task that I found most challenging was configuring phones and trying to understand the different aspects of triage, however, with some help from ITRM’s current apprentices, we worked collaboratively to complete these tasks.
What are your future goals and aspirations?
My aspirations and goals are to be able to work within IT and to be very successful and to earn lots of money!
