Also, through our support for local associations that support the community, our ethos is to help our local London and Kent communities to thrive.
Sustainability and the Environment
Our business activities impact our environment, directly and indirectly. We never underestimate the impact we could have on our immediate London community and our wider global community. So we always look for opportunities to help create sustainable development that’s over and above our legal and regulatory obligations, regardless of whether we have direct control over this.
We emphasise environmental management for our business and our clients’ businesses because it’s crucial to who we are. We continuously review our energy efficiency, water waste, waste disposal and air emissions.
We’re Proud of our Associations
We have a legacy of supporting our local London and Kent communities dating back to 1999.
We are presently primary sponsors (front of shirt) of the Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), a relationship that dates back several years. CACT empowers communities, and changes lives by improving health, education and employment and reducing crime. We also support Bexley Moorings, a local London charity that has supported vulnerable children and young people for over 30 years. Through a befriending scheme and access to therapies, a lot of valuable support is helping young people with issues of low self-esteem and anxiety.
Our Policy
We aim to build relationships with and give learning opportunities to young people in the local communities in which we work by providing resources, such as equipment, knowledge, skills, and material support to refurbish buildings through our work with community voluntary, educational or charitable groups.
Donating our time to our local London community groups and voluntary organisations will always be a priority for ITRM.
We also aim to build long-term relationships with our suppliers and support small and local businesses wherever feasible.
Staff Volunteering
Corporate social responsibility is at the heart of our culture; it is in the foundations of our company and is instilled into employees from the first day they join ITRM. We provide all of our personnel with the opportunity to spend one working day per annum with a charity of their choice. Whether it’s volunteering for Charlton Athletic’s Charitable Trust (CACT) or another charity, we enjoy giving back. From sponsored walks to supporting high profile events to coffee mornings and others, people can get involved in a host of activities. Everyone who’s participated has always enjoyed the occasion.
