The morning started bright and early, and golfers were welcomed into Pedham Place to get signed in and situated. This followed with breakfast before the round; then, there was a debrief about how the day would run and what players could expect. Once all the rules were explained, the golfers could head off to the allocated tee before the claxon sounded the shotgun start.
ITRM participated in the event by fielding teams and having some of our clients attend, including Intec Select and Bannerman Rendell, (A massive thank you to those companies). Some members of the ITRM team also helped Bexley Moorings by taking photographs and delivering refreshments to the golfers throughout the day.
During the round of golf, various minigames were played, such as 'Nearest to the Pin,' in which the winning team consisted of Alex Rayment, George Quinn, and Andy Jones. The notorious 'Longest Drive' was also featured. Sam Bradley reigns supreme and took home the prize!
After a day of golfing in the glorious sun, the players returned to the clubhouse, greeted with a delicious meal. Once everyone had eaten, the auction began, with Danny Hill taking the microphone and auctioning off items donated by generous people supporting Bexley Moorings. Maybe list some examples of the prizes up for grabs – I can share the auction list with you if needed – let me know.
After all the fundraising activities had ended, everyone headed their separate ways. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved with any contribution made either before, on, or after the day. Bexley Moorings raised almost £9000, which is an incredible amount of money that will do wonders for the local community.
‘Bexley Moorings holds a very special place in our hearts at ITRM. It’s a charity that my mum deeply cherished and dedicated many years to before she passed away. Our team truly values the incredible work Bexley Moorings does in the community, and we are wholeheartedly committed to supporting their success. This golf day stands out because it is purely dedicated to raising as much as we can for the charity, and every attendee is genuinely invested in that purpose. I’m thrilled to share that, together, we raised around £9000 this year, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed.’
