On the 18th November 2016, Old Bexley & Sidcup MP and Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, James Brokenshire, visited the ITRM offices to meet our team.
ITRM were awarded the title ‘Bexley Business of the Year’ and 'Best Business for Employee Training & Development' earlier in the year and James was keen to visit us. On arrival, he was welcomed by Managing Director, Dave White, and Head of Sales & Service Delivery, John Redfern, who both shared with him the Company’s vision, values and mission, some key developments planned for the next few years and introduced the ITRM team.
One team member, to whom James was introduced was ITRM’s recently appointed Chief Technology Officer, Mike Castle. ITRM’s leadership team identified that in order to maintain the substantial growth seen over the last 3 years, further technical expertise and leadership was required to ensure the Company continued to successfully work towards achieving its strategic mission and objectives.
Mike joined ITRM earlier in the year, with over 15 years’ industry experience, and offers a visionary understanding of the technology market. Whilst visiting, James was offered an insight into one of ITRM’s current projects; a refresh of all Products and Services in the Company’s Portfolio.
‘’It was great to be able to introduce James to the ITRM team. I hope that the visit proved beneficial to him and provided him with a true insight into what we are all about as a business. ITRM is made up of a group of extremely committed and hardworking individuals and I’m proud of what we have achieved together. It was also great that we were able to share some of our current projects with him, such as our strategic focus on our Products and Services Portfolio. This forms one of our seven core strategic objectives and is continually reviewed to ensure it continues to offer solutions that achieve the objectives of our partners. Our corporate vision is to solve all business challenges though innovative thinking and our refreshed portfolio reflects this. Everyone at ITRM is fully focused on our customers and the way that we engage with them in order to create the best possible experience, which in turn protects and grows our reputation’’ - Dave White.
In 2016 ITRM were made official kit sponsors for Charlton Athletic Football Club and our existing sponsorship arrangement with the Charlton Athletic Community Trust were extended. Alongside these organisations, we developed a comprehensive corporate responsibility programme. Amongst many other commitments in the local community, all members of the ITRM team have been selected to join the Community Trust for one day to assist with the delivery of their award winning community projects, including their early intervention programme to help those suffering with mental health issues.
‘’It was great to be able to visit ITRM and hear more about another great Bexley business which is thriving and generating more local jobs. The importance they place on their staff and the innovative IT solutions they develop for their customers came through clearly. I am delighted that their success has been recognised by winning 'Business of the Year' at this year's Bexley Business Awards. ITRM also underlined their strong desire to give back to the community and I welcome their work in support of a number of local charities and community organisations." – James Brokenshire, MP.
