The Bexley Moorings Project held its annual charity golf day at the Pedham Place golf course, Swanley, on Thursday 17th September 2022, with 18 teams participating and supporting the event. There were 72 players in total, including ITRM staff and clients taking part and regular supporters of the Bexley Moorings Charity.
A shotgun start preceded the competition, and long drives and nearest the pin were among the contests. After 18 holes of stimulating golf, the players enjoyed dinner, a charity auction, and a raffle, followed by a charity dinner.
The atmosphere at dinner was fantastic, and the support during the auction was even more so. Several auction prizes were available from the generous donations, including golf rounds at Pedham Place, Nizels Gold and London Golf Clubs, seven nights at Whitstable’s Smugglers Cove Cottage, bottomless sparkling afternoon tea at Annabels Tea Room and a dinner and film screening at the London Film Club.
IRM’s Danny Hill was once again the auctioneer, and what a great job he did! The room was buzzing with bids with players enjoying some friendly competition which resulted in the auction alone raising over £5,100. The funds raised for the Bexley Moorings Project this year came from the sale of tickets, team entries, mulligan sales and donations, bringing the total to £8,300...the most ever raised for the project, and there are still donations expected to roll in!
Why does ITRM support local London charities with their IT Services?
The Bexley Moorings is a charity close to our hearts and is included within our CSR programme, that also has several other local charities, community projects, work experience placements, and apprenticeships.

ITRM have provided our IT support services for over ten years and in that time have also supported one of our main fundraising campaigns our golf day. This local London company invests locally in making changes for the young people of Bexley and this year were instrumental in helping us raise over £8300. It is amazing to have this consistent and robust support not only in keeping us operating IT wise but also in supporting our direct emotional health support for young people in Bexley.
The Bexley Moorings Project supports over 200 vulnerable young people within the Borough of Bexley through one-to-one befriending and group activities. Using the funds raised, their dedicated volunteers will continue to provide essential support to vulnerable young children and their parents within Bexley Borough.
Bexley Moorings can continue to deliver its fantastic community work by supporting fundraising events such as the annual charity golf day. We look forward to next year’s event!!
