This year, in light of the challenges experienced by so many due to the pandemic, we've made a break with our usual Christmas traditions and are supporting those in need.

This year we have approached our usual Christmas plans differently.

Traditionally, ITRM have enjoyed sharing cards and gifts with our valued customers and partners at Christmas. The festive period has always been a busy time for us as we try to reach out to as many of our customers as possible to personally wish them a Merry Christmas. However, this year, in light of the challenges experienced by so many due to the pandemic, we are simply unable to achieve this, which prompted us to break tradition.

ITRM work with a number of charities and those charities we support vary in size and location, but they all raise awareness and provide vital support for different causes in fantastic ways.

In addition to supporting charities with their IT requirements, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is hugely important to ITRM and has always been a focus for our business. Whilst our CSR programme involves several different areas, our contributions to charitable and community causes throughout the year is a particular part that we feel very proud of and has included support to both Charlton Athletic Community Trust, the Bexley Moorings Project and Best Beginnings, to name but a few, over a number of years.

In breaking with tradition this Christmas, ITRM decided to gift our annual Christmas spend to a charity in need that was known to us. We chose to make a donation of £2,000 to a charity nominated by our staff, in place of physical cards and gifts this year, whilst our clients receive a video ecard kindly produced by Taking the Pixels.

Earlier this month we shared information on all the charities that we partner with to our staff and invited them to nominate the charity they would like to receive our Christmas donation. This was greatly supported by the team and it is fantastic to know that everyone contributed to this significant decision.

Our nominations were collected last week and it is with great pleasure that we are able to formally announce that ITRM will support the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice this this year with our Christmas charity donation!

Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice Team

ITRM’s Managing Director, Dave White, says –

“This year has been such an unpredictable year and it has affected so many in such different ways. We know that charities have been greatly impacted and their ability to connect with those they support, as well as those who support them has suffered. We work with a number of charities in different ways and wanted to show our support with a donation this Christmas. Empowering our staff to decide which charity they wanted to help was also important to us.
Whilst all the charities we work with are worthy of support, I am delighted that the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice are our chosen charity. The Hospice do an amazing job supporting families through some very difficult times, times we all hope never arise, but sadly do. My mother was wonderfully cared for by the special people at GBCH and many of our staff have a personal connection also.
At ITRM we genuinely care for our customers and the community around us. I am pleased that this donation will make a small difference in helping the amazing staff at the Hospice continue to provide their important services to families in need during this challenging time.”

Megan Boyle, Head of Fundraising at Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice says -

“Thank you so much to ITRM for making such a generous donation to the Hospice. The news came as a lovely surprise for us, just in time for Christmas, and the money donated will make a real difference.
It really is difficult to find the words to say just how grateful we are to ITRM for their continued and dedicated support. Knowing that ITRM staff chose to support the Hospice in this way, feels even more special to us.”

The Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice provides free, high quality compassionate care and support for people with all terminal illnesses, their families, and their carers in the London Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley. They do this in people's homes, in hospital and from the Hospice in Abbeywood. The Hospice has been so greatly affected by the pandemic, but there are many ways to support the brilliant work that they do.
