ITRM, a privately owned, multi-award-winning, accredited IT Managed Service Provider based in Sidcup made it a hat-trick of award successes at the recent Bexley’s Business Excellence Awards, including scooping the prestigious top prize of 'Business of the Year' 2018, an accolade they previously won in 2016.
Around 300 guests from the Bexley business community celebrated at the sixth annual Bexley Business Excellence Awards in association with Ocado which was held at Hall Place and Gardens on Wednesday, June 27th.
Commended as 'Best Employer' and Highly Commended for 'Customer Service', ITRM’s night was made as they were called to the stage at the end of an exciting evening to be presented with the overall trophy for 'Best Business'.
Hosted by actress and writer Tracy Ann Oberman, best known for her role as Chrissie Watts in EastEnders, the sold-out event was the climax of the prestigious awards and celebrated the successes and achievements of Bexley’s vibrant business sector.
Opening the evening, councillor Teresa O’Neill, leader of Bexley Council, said: “for those who have entered tonight I hope you all win. Bexley is a fantastic place to live and a fantastic place to work''.
Cllr O'Neill continued, “we have big ambitions for Bexley. You are in Bexley at the moment and you have got a terrific future.”
Presenting the 'Business of the Year' award, Claire Salmon of Ocado, said that ''ITRM Ltd was chosen from 12 categories to take the overall accolade because it provided the exemplar of what working in partnership looks like in a technology business through its ethos of continuous improvement and outstanding commitment to customer service as well as community support''.
Accepting the award, Dave White, Managing Director, ITRM Ltd, said: “I grew up in Bexley, I went to school in Bexley and I set up my business in Bexley. So the Bexley Business Awards are very important and as we grow our business we will remain in Bexley''.
Dave added, “In terms of winning this award it’s testament to all the hard work that goes on in the area. We put the customer first – you cannot manufacture great customer service. Your defining factor cannot be about money, it’s got to be about making the right choices for the customer''.
Commenting on the Awards, Cllr Louie French, deputy leader of Bexley Council, said, “the Bexley Business Awards continue to go from strength to strength each year, highlighting the growing number of brilliant local businesses and the key role that they play in our local communities and economy''.
