We are delighted to announce that, following a rigorous process of assessment reviews by Investors in People (IIP), ITRM have achieved the IIP Silver accreditation standard. With only 15% of businesses who undertake the IIP assessment obtaining the Silver accreditation and above, we are hugely proud to have been selected and recognised by IIP in this way!
ITRM’s assessment against the IIP framework began in February 2021, which included the completion of an in depth questionnaire built by IIP covering all aspects of working life and one-to-one interviews with 14 team members across the business.
At ITRM we place great importance on the development of our teams and invest time in ensuring they have the opportunities to grow and feel recognised within their roles and, we work hard to build a warm and welcoming working environment for our people. Our company values sit at the heart of everything we do, guiding our behaviours and the way in which we operate, both internally and externally, and IIP recognised within their report that ‘all [staff] were very clear the priority is great customer service’.
Our Operations Manager, Sue Thorpe, commented -
"As an organisation we have worked hard to create the best working environment for our people, not only to help them feel recognised and grow within our business but to ensure that we also attract and hire individuals who hold the same values as us, who are the right fit and will provide the best service to our customers and their fellow team members.
For over a year our teams have worked fully-remotely. They have adapted to the new way of working most admirably and their focus on our customer experience has remained steadfast. As is the case for many businesses, challenging adjustments have been made and we are so proud to have maintained such a strong focus on our people despite the additional pressures brought about by the Pandemic."
Here are a few of the observations made by IIP –
• Collaboration and team working are strengths of ITRM and everyone said all people in the company are helpful and friendly.
• It is clear you have a very strong set of values that guides the company and how it does things.
• Your people feel that you have supported them really well during lockdown since March 2020.
• People spoke highly of their manager and believe they motivate them to do their best.
We understand that our people are our most valuable asset and that if we provide the working environment which enables us to work better, we are also able to enhance the experience of every organisation who deals with us. Although we continue to face a challenging economic landscape, our teams will continue to work on improvements to our management structure and employee relations to give us all the best chance of success for the future.
