The occasion was the 6th Annual Bexley Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner, which was attended by over 300 people, all of whom were representing the top businesses based in the London Borough of Bexley.
It was a fantastic occasion and quite a special one for us at ITRM too as we were delighted to be announced as the Bexley Business Excellence Awards 'Business of the Year' for 2018; an accolade that we had previously won in 2016 and, this Thursday 31st January, will see us back again at Hall Place for the launch of the 2019 7th Annual Bexley Business Excellence Awards.
Celebrating the successes and achievements of Bexley’s vibrant business community, the prestigious Business Excellence Awards drew a record number of entries last year. The 2019 programme promises to be even bigger and better, with new Award categories having been added to suit every type of business, from start-ups and SMEs to large international companies.
Speaking about our success in 2018, Dave White, managing director of ITRM Ltd, said: “The profile and the kudos we gained from winning the 'Business of the Year' Award has played an important part in enhancing our brand awareness within Bexley and beyond. Winning this prestigious award also provided our staff with graphic proof of the central role they have played in the continuing success of the business.''
Dave added, ''having been proudly recognised as Bexley 'Business of the Year' twice in three years, we have decided not to enter this year, but instead, we will be sponsoring the important 'Best SME' award category and we're very much looking forward to meeting this year's award finalists.''
SMEs make up a significant proportion of Bexley’s commerce, and their success is a critical factor in the Borough's local and regional economy. This award recognises the rich diversity of SMEs across all market sectors, and encourages their start up, growth and long-term sustainability.
The 'Best SME Award' is open to all companies in Bexley who have fewer than 50 employees and a turnover of less than £10 million to enter this category.
